Volume 1 see's Ange and Rob Martyn join me @ the Fitz this coming Friday the 22nd of April
Ange
Ange loves to play a mix of house and tech within her sets, with big drums, sweeping melodies, sky-high wooshes and heartwarming keys to make you bump, thump and wriggle your rump. Expect a set that is fun, layered, and energetic.
In radio she was also the cringeworthy host of Saturday mornings and then Tuesday Drive on George FM for 4 years in the early 2000’s (do the math, yep she’s an old bird).
Over her career Ange featured on loads of gigs and supported international djs such as Kevin Saunderson, Justin Harris, Detroit Grand Pubahs, Gene Farris, Derrick Carter, Inland Knights, Joshua and also featured on major events: The BDO, Summadayze, Rhythm & Vines, and in recent years mainstage at the epic AUM Festival 2020 and mainstage at Sounorous.
Rob Martyn
Rob Martyn’s career began in Poland and in 2006 his travels took him to an Antipodean paradise on the other side of the world called New Zealand.
In his early years Rob was exposed to a range of sounds and regularly jammed with his music-loving family. This is where Rob first developed his appreciation of soulful harmonies and funky beats.
It's not easy to describe Rob’s sound because he plays a large spectrum of the house genre, and can craft any set depending on the floor. He’s most well known for his legendary soulful house sets and is one of the best in the Antipodes at crafting a night around groovy bass lines and soulful vocals. He’s not shy to share that his biggest influences are the legendary Louie Vega and Kenny Dope and during his sets he tries to Work as hard as these Masters. Rob also likes to weave jacking house beats into his mixes and when the sun goes down, and sounds come up, you can be assured to see a sea on the dance floor. Rob Martyn is known as one of the nicest guys on the house scene and when he’s not in the mix he enjoys listening to jazz music.
We look forward to seeing you on the floor, and well looked after by the forever onto it Fitroy Crew and the talent from "The Diamond Cutters".
