An epic mash up of improv good times. Lyons & Ward (Greg Ward & Steven Lyons) host two of Auckland’s finest improv groups for a night of humour, hubris and hilarity.

Improv groups Love Lamp and Bull Rush open the show before Lyons & Ward close out the night with their debut duo performance.

Love Lamp
Fun, edgy and quick! Love Lamp are Auckland’s hottest-kids-on-the-improv-block. They’ve double-dared a guest comedian to perform short comedy sets only to have them be deconstructed, twisted, embellished and mashed back together, like some kind of Frankensteinian dream. The outcome will be improv comedy creations that take on new lives of their own! Mwahahahaha (evil laughter).

Bull Rush
Improvised theatre from a bunch of newly minted Jaffas. Coming in hot off winning Best Comedy at the 2020 Whangarei Fringe, Bull Rush is an improv show full of scandalous, gaffaw inducing and face-melting improvised comedy made on the spot for your delight. Come laugh away those love handles with Auckland's youngest, bravest and brightest up and coming talents! BYO child-like sense of wonder...

Lyons & Ward
Greg Ward & Steven Lyons first graced the improv stage together in the early 2000’s, and quickly found they generate exquisite amounts of joy in performing together, for themselves and their audiences alike. Individually, their backgrounds and experience offer a deep pool of opportunity and inventiveness, and together, they seek to live only in the moment - to reveal the truth in their improvised scenes and characters, both the mundane and the absurd. For the Mish Mash, this is Lyons & Ward’s first official foray into the light as a duo - and boy, are they pumped!
