The Ras Judah Trio comprises three members of the Wellington-based ten-piece band Culture Embassy.

Ras Judah is a singer, song writer and band leader, originally from Botswana, Southern Africa. Ras Judah’s musical styles is a combination of Southern African cultural music, African township jazz (Southern African popular style) and Jamaican reggae. www.rasjudah.org

Luke Parker is a singer, guitarist, music producer and teacher from England. Background in UK Folk, Two-Tone, and World Music. Fellow Culture Embassy member teamed up with Ras Judah back in 2013 when Culture Embassy began. www.lukeparkermusic.com

Theo Sekeries is a versatile Music Therapist who plays a variety of music genres. Born and raised in Christchurch, Theo has Greek ancestry, and he brings Greek musical tradition flavour to the trio’s sound.

The Ras Judah Trio is brought to you by Late Nite Fridays. Koha Entry.

Late Nite Fridays is a once a week late night every Friday from mid Jan to mid-May featuring fresh NZ music, $10 Roses and Sawmill Pilsners, gorgeous food at Dough Bakery and all galleries open until 8pm. Live music starts from 6.30pm and entry is by Koha.
