Do you like sculpting, creating amazing stories, and gaming!? The University of Otago Science of Medicines Whakatere Waka invites you to take part in the D-Bug Game Design Challenge. We want you to design a game, or game concept, about vaccines and/or viruses and be in to win some awesome spot prizes while you do it. Making games can be hard so, in addition to our D-Bug Game Design launch event, we will be hosting a series of FREE workshops to help you on your creative journey.

Each workshop will run twice across two consecutive Sundays. You will need to register for a workshop but are welcome to pop in anytime from 9am – 4:30pm on the day the workshop is held. These workshops are suitable for primary and high school children from 5 to 18 years old. Children below 14 years of age will need to be accompanied by an adult. Workshops are located in the Annex building on the Reserve, across from Tūhura Otago Museum.

[COMING SOON] Upload submissions via google docs in any format that suits you! Drawing, animating, a video of you in the design process, an audio recording with some supplementary visuals; show us what you’ve created!
