After fleeing Scotland, Ryan McGhee plonked his fabulous gay ass in Sydney. This would be his new home. Anything was possible!

Within a few years Ryan was blessed with an amazing marriage. The divorce came a few months later. Determined not to be left on the shelf, Ryan tried every tactic from speed dating to matchmakers - nothing was working. It was time for a new chapter in New Zealand - surely it couldn't be that different from Australia or Scotland...?

Join Ryan to hear about his (mis)adventures in Scotland, Australia, and New Zealand, as well as some "highlights" from his (still) ongoing search for love.

“A strong performer with a likeable persona and bubbly energy…McGhee leaves me in stitches. This show strikes me as a Netflix special cutting its teeth” - Art Murmurs
“Offers plenty of whimsical insights and good laughs” - Theatreview
“The best example of what Fringe festival is all about…an hour of quality stand-up comedy and a great hour’s entertainment…hilariously smutty gay jokes and a disarming ability to tell a great story” - Regional News

Winner of "Best Newcomer, Lower North Island" at the NZ Comedy Guild Awards 2021

Ryan will be joined by special guest Seán Tinker. Seán is an Irish born comedian living in New Zealand for the past 4 years.
After breaking his comedy cherry at a Stand-Up Virgins night, he has since been performing all over New Zealand from North to South Island and was a National Finalist in the 2021 New Zealand Raw Comedy Competition, come check him out before he blows up big time or crashes hard.

Also joining Ryan is the fresh and amazing Marielle McBrien. Being raised in New Jersey, Marielle's native language is ludicrous profanity laced observations. After sharpening her tongue and wit, she eventually left her crumbling home land for the greener pastures of New Zealand. She has been performing stand up for 2 years and delights in others laughing at her failures, rants, and misguided hopes.

Grab your tickets and we'll see you there!
