Timaru Festival of Roses Christmas Market Day

The Festival of Roses Christmas Market Day provides entertainment for the whole family, with live music and stalls offering the best from New Zealand and a chance to kick off Christmas shopping.

Headlining this year’s Festival entertainment is the multi-platinum, multi-award-winning singer-songwriter, producer, meditator, planetarian and wannabe surfer Jason Kerrison. Jason will reach out to each member of the audience and take them on an extraordinary musical journey. His heartfelt love songs makes even hardened cynics swoon just a little, while the huge Opshop and Babysitters Circus tunes literally have them running up the aisles to the dance floor.

Supporting Jason will be the legendary local band The Drama Queens – a stunning three piece with strong vocals with beautiful harmonies of Alice Sollis, Sharleyne Diamond and Rebecca Jackson. Also on the stage we welcome the Alpine Energy Timaru Brass, upcoming soloist Sam Roadley and the funny magic of Sport Suzie’s Super Circus Show.

The free Sunday market is all about browsing and Christmas shopping, eating and relaxing – visitors can sample the crafts, fashion, plants and tasty treats from a range of themed areas.
