Trust your Chef is an entertaining and educational evening inspired by locally sourced produce and New Zealand wines, all served up at the historic Warkworth Hotel located in the centre of Warkworth. Featuring short presentations from some of the region’s key suppliers, the focus is on sustainability. The evening will also include an auction with proceeds going to local schools.
Meet passionate local identities who will share stories about their work and lives including Rob from Warkworth Butcher, who won Master Butcher of the Year 2020, forager extraordinaire Chef Campbell White, and wine ambassadors from Pernod Ricard.
Your dining journey is inspired by local and wild flavours, with beverage pairings along the way. Finish your meal with a dessert inspired by our favourite rare local herb matched with a cocktail, while all evening our music will enhance the atmosphere.
To ensure the evening is a sparkling success, Annie Mellor aka “Action Annie” will MC the event. Annie is a well-known and well-loved local to the Matakana Coast for over a decade, with excellent knowledge of food and wine, and how to bring a bit of pizzazz to our events.
