This year, Pip Adam, is asking guests on her podcast Better off Read, to talk about ‘something that’s made them laugh’. So far, guests have brought paintings, films, short stories and a single panel of a Snoopy cartoon as a jumping off place into a discussion about the way they make and experience art.
As well as being intriguing explorations of how humour might work, these discussions often make room for a lot of laughter. It turns out talking about what we think is funny can be funny.
In this live episode of the podcast four guests will present something that’s made them laugh with the aim of sharing some of that laughter with an audience.
