A Contemporary dance show - a trio of soulless, yet exuberant performers. Witness the human condition through dance.

This is the debut of "Others" by Carla Harre, which is part of Jawline Dance Co's new double-bill programme which is showing in Auckland in April. "Others" is part of the Dunedin Fringe Festival 2022. Come and get a taster of the full experience! This show is a collection of human experiences and issues set in the abstract worlds of our subconscious. In dreamland our fears and daily stresses play out in surreal environments. Witness living out those dreams to their full extent, questioning what would happen if they didn’t get cut off by your morning alarm.

"Others" choreographed by Carla Harre is a trio featuring the collaborators Oli Mathiesen, Cade Hansen and Lulu Qiu. This piece is about people that are in an in between state. We ask you, the audience, to question the performers’ true nature, witnessing them as soulless beings. Are they alive? Or are they not? We see the dancers undergo different modes of an ‘afterlife’ and follow them on journeys of belonging. It features fluid movements, harsh shapes, intertwined with exuberant versions of self.
