Master Drummer & Dancer from Ghana, Agbeko DeSouza, is coming back to Wellington! Agbeko is the leader of Africana Fefeworwor Dance Ensemble in Accra, Ghana. Since moving to NZ recently, he has been co-facilitating many workshops and performing around the country with Koffie. Agbeko brings an authentic taste of Ghana style music and dance that is fun and funky.
We are delighted to have him come to Wellington!

All are welcome, NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY, and drums will be available for use onsite!
These workshops are very inclusive and will meet you where you are at for all levels and beginners/starters are most welcome, and more experienced players/dancers will also have the opportunity to be challenged.
Schedule:
West African Dance 10:30am-12pm ($25)
lunch break
Beginner Drumming 1pm-2pm ($20)
tea break
Intermediate Drumming 2:15pm-3:15pm ($20)
(all welcome to intermediate as well, just be ready for a little more spice & challenge!)
