Y10 Box Theatre: Twisted

The facts. Gretel is in a coma. She was last seen with her boyfriend by her friends. She was at the same party they were. Now friends and family need to find out how this happened but it will not be easy when everyone is speculating and spreading rumours. Someone must have seen what happened. Someone must know but will that person tell?

How we present ourselves to our friends and how we really are can be quite different things. As students live in a time where gossip, assumption and spreading of rumours are as easy as pushing the post button it is incredibly difficult for them to know what the truth is. However, often the truth is messy and has a whole narrative behind why people do what they do. If we are ever to help make a difference and change bullying behaviour, taking the time to understand people’s stories might help.
