This school holidays, join scientists from Scion and Imagin Plastics for an interactive workshop and learn about the world of 4D printing where 3D objects take on an extra dimension; in this case, changing colour with heat.

In the workshop, you’ll first learn all about 3D printing including setting up your printer with different types of PLA filament, troubleshooting techniques and design insights. Scientists will then explain what’s so special about 4D printing with a flexible filament before demonstrating the software you can use at home to create your own designs.

Visit the website link above to register your interest.

Following the workshop, you’ll be invited to take part in a competition using Tinkercad, an easy-to-use 3D CAD design tool, which will run for four weeks. The best creation will win the maker an induction at Scion to print their design, meet the scientists, and visit the lab.
