A Musical Mosaic

The Tauranga Civic Choir is delighted to be joined for this concert by students from Tauranga Boys' and Tauranga Girls' Colleges, who will be contributing to our programme.

The choir's focus piece is Little Jazz Mass by Bob Chilcott, plus we'll be singing some old favourite shorter pieces. The Little Jazz Mass features a highly effective setting of the Latin Missa Brevis in which the five short movements embrace a variety of jazz styles. As one reviewer said, “The Kyrie has real groove, the Gloria swings, the Sanctus sits right back, the Benedictus hums along, and the Agnus Dei draws inspiration from the Blues.”

Tickets are only $20, and school children are free when accompanied by an adult.
