A RESTING MESS is the life work of this year’s University of Otago Caroline Plummer Fellow Daisy Sanders. The project stems from Daisy’s decade-long journey through endometritis and chronic fatigue, and the healing she has found through dance.
Daisy’s research intersects dance, performance making, health and community building - through a somatic and choreographic artistic approach. In A RESTING MESS Daisy creatively explores what it is to rest deeply and wrestle with the ‘mess’ and pace of our lives.
This project has been supported by the Dunedin Dream Brokerage with funding from the Dunedin City Council, and by the West Australian Government through the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries.
Special thanks also to project partners Dance Ōtepoti, Stitch Kitchen, Otago Daily Times, Res.Awesome Dunedin waste warriors and the Noonan family.
