At Empire Studios we tare delighted to have Gabi showcasing Aerial Silks and Lyra to our Empire Community.
Silks, also called Fabric or Tissu, allows you to learn to climb, invert in the air and hang upside down. Learn sequences, drops, slides, and flips with style and grace. Lyra, also called Hoop, is a steel ring suspended from the ceiling that you learn poses on and above. Gabi will work with you to gain strength, skill, and technique using the apparatus, and allow you space to create your own flow to music, working towards a performance piece collectively, and in smaller groups.
This class is for both adults and youth with a maximum of 12 people attending.
You will have both Gabi, and her assist Izzy working with you to being out your best aerial self.
With term by term outcomes, this group will work towards our end of year showcase at Sky City Theatre to bring the house down with skilful and graceful movement.
