After Dark: Night Circus

Spring is finally here, and after the cold, dark winter, it’s time to party at Tūhura Otago Museum’s After Dark: Night Circus.

Just like any good circus, there will be food, drinks, and entertainment galore, along with unique performances that include contortion and aerial acts. Spend some time with our mystic in the Planetarium and unlock the secrets of your future.

Ever wanted to drink candy-floss? Our friends from The Alchemist will be mixing up their world-famous-in-Dunedin cocktail delights, with an extra-special circus twist. Some of Dunedin’s best food trucks will be serving up loaded fries, ice creams, and other delicious carnival-style treats to fill your belly and feed your soul.

Breathtaking performances and explosive science experiments will bring some bang to the Big Top, and the Hutton Theatre will be filled with sideshow attractions, including a giant jumping inflatable, follies, games, activities, and photo opportunities! Plus there’s no substitute for a packed-out dance floor!

And if you need a break from the action, the warmth and peace of the Tūhura Tropical Forest will welcome you like an old friend.

Tickets to After Dark do sell out, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
