Artist Workshop Series: Unconventional Cyanotypes
With Artist Daisy Nicholas
Saturday 19 August, 2-4pm
Free Event
Suitable for Ages 4-10
Spaces will be limited
In our Artist Workshop Series, local artists share their inspiration and skills with children in a series of free classes.
Create an unconventional cyanotype with artist Daisy Nicholas. She will take you through the steps and ideas of using sand, water, and sunlight to create artwork. This workshop explores how we can create amazing and fun art using science. You will be able to get your hand in the sand and watch how the fabric we use turns from a green colour to a rich blue in the sunlight.
Daisy Nicholas is an Auckland-based emerging artist. She is an experimental photographer and explores environmental physics through bodies of water and coastlines. Pushing the limits and ideas around how we create photographs and how we define the medium.
No reservation required, but spaces will be limited and available on a first-come basis.
