MEET OUR SPEAKERS

Latayvia Tualasea Tautai - Senior Associate, YWCA Auckland
Latayvia is a 2nd generation New Zealand born Samoan proudly hailing from Levi Saleimoa, Solosolo and Amaile Aleipata. At 24, she is the 2022 Prime Ministers Pacific Youth award winner for leadership and inspiration. Currently a Senior Associate at the YWCA Auckland working alongside the CEO on insights and campaigns as well as delivering the Y25 programme. She previously delivered financial literacy workshops in South Auckland High Schools, led an Auckland-wide initiative to collect stationery for wāhine in prison and is currently on the board for Womens Health Action Auckland. She is an amalgamation of her grandparents migrant dream, the collective prayers of her village and the resilience of a single mum on the benefit.

Donna Mason - Chief Customer Officer, Smartshares
A skilled facilitator and speaker, Donna has spoken at industry events and conferences, bringing her energy, enthusiasm and warmth to everything she does and embodying the principles of leading by example. She's a role model for young women aspiring to achieve their career goals while maintaining their values. An experienced Head Of Direct Sales with a demonstrated history of working in the financial services industry, she is currently Chief Customer Officer at Smartshares, leading their successful KiwiSaver default provider application and supporting their customers’ financial wellbeing through all the meaningful events of their life.

Sophya Guimarães - AYP Marketing Manager, Business student and Lawyer
Sophya Guimarães is a Brazilian lawyer who left a promising career in the legal field to pursue a new life in New Zealand. On a chilly May morning, she packed her bags and flew to the other side of the world, filled with, basically, goals and a lot of expectations.

Since arriving in New Zealand 8 months ago, Sophya has been immersing herself in a new culture and gaining tons of precious learning. Currently, she brings value working at a community-oriented organization called The Logos Project, alongside her studies for a postgrad in business.

Sophya enjoys experimenting new recipes, taking leisurely walks around Auckland city, and improving her self-learning abilities. (this is a topic for another event) haha

On her journey as a migrant, Sophya has encountered and connected with beautiful stories of inspiring women, who, despite the daily hurdles, make their way into a successful life.

Clarissa Hirst - AYP Professional Events Manager + Head of Content, Communication & Marketing, FSC NZ (facilitator)
Riss is AYP's Professional Events Manager, organising events like these for our community of like-minded young professionals to learn and grow. She's passionate about gender equity, creating space for diverse perspectives in all forums, and the value of conversations in enacting change. Last year, she led the It Starts With Action campaign for the financial services industry, which saw over 100 supporting organisations come together to spread a shared message about the importance of financial wellbeing. Engaging with Government, industry bodies, fintechs and large corporates, the campaign has resulted in collective and ongoing action being taken to advocate for gender equity in financial services, in retirement and in workplaces around Aotearoa.
