The big race, the great day and one final hurrah to one incredible summer of racing.

Cheer on our athletes as they vie for Auckland Cup Day's® namesake silverware and their place in the history books in the $500K Barfoot & Thompson Auckland Cup® - taking place at Pukekohe Park for 2023. If the only interaction you’ve had with racing is watching the Melbourne Cup, then you’re going to want to head to Barfoot & Thompson Auckland Cup Day as, well, it’s kind of a big deal.

Add to that the Group 1 Sistema Stakes and the Group 1 Bonecrusher New Zealand Stakes and the scene is set for a day of racing that will be talked about for years to come.

The bookend to Pukekohe Park's summer season, it’s one for the diary for sure.

If you're bringing the family to take advantage of our free general admission then we've got plenty of free kids entertainment to keep them busy in between the races. We're talking a bouncy castle, face painting, ponies to pat, outdoor games and more.

Make your commute easy with a our return bus departing from Ellerslie Racecourse. Get in quick, as these sell out fast.

If you needed any more convincing, its Auckland's last stop of the season for The Grand Tour, a round up of New Zealand’s Top 20 racedays.
