We’re launching Baycourt’s 40th Anniversary celebrations with an extravaganza of talent and spectacle.
Performers of all ages fill the Addison Theatre to bring you music, waiata, haka, dance, comedy and drama. Curated and directed by Tauranga born creative Jason Te Mete (Ngāti Ranginui, Ngai Te Rangi) and hosted by some fabulous MCs, the B40: Gala Concert is a variety event that celebrates four decades of community creativity. Performers include Opus Orchestra, Te Wharekura o Mauao, Tauranga Musical Theatre, Stage Right Trust and many others.
The theme for Baycourt’s 40th anniversary is “ki mua, ki muri”, a whakataukī (proverb) about the value of looking to the past to inform the future. The B40: Gala Concert will celebrate and acknowledge Baycourt’s history while looking to the future with epic and uplifting performances.
Expect to see the full technical capabilities of the theatre on display in this feast for the eyes, ears and heart!
