‘More than Survive’ - that’s all Jeremy wants from high school. But from his viewpoint at the bottom of the social ladder, there’s little or no hope for the almost invisible Jeremy. Yet what if there was a way to change that? What if there was a technological intervention in the form of an easy-to-swallow pill? The SQUIP. Built in instructions to help Jeremy overcome his uncool instincts and teach him how to dress right, say the right things and achieve ultimate coolness. An easy choice - right? But is Jeremy willing to lose his best friend, his crush, his classmates and even the whole world? Just to be more chill?
This fan-favorite musical is set to a hot pop-rock score by Joe Iconis based on the novel by Ned Vizzini. Be More Chill is a hilarious sci-tale approach to the high school journey and one boy’s desire to fit it - and survive.
