Canterbury Masters Figure Skating Open Invitation Champs

Come and watch some of the South Island's best figure skaters in action Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th November. Many adult skaters also skaters from Kiwi Skate skills to Advanced Novice Free skate. Plus Dance, Stroking and Creative Performance, Synchronised teams events, are all taking part. They will be Jumping, spinning, twirling out on the ice in glamorous costumes. There are also the fun team events where Club members do their routines. Come along and support the skaters some of whom this will be the first time that have competed in a competition.
Lets face it ice rinks are cold, so to keep warm you need to wear warm clothing jackets, hats, gloves, etc. Good idea to bring along a cushion and rug and be really comfy. Being in an ice rink is like being in a fridge. The good thing is hot drinks and food are available to purchase at Zamboni's cafe.
Figure Skating is not just for the young ones - Adult figure skating is extremely popular world-wide. Many of todays skaters compete at Club, regional, national and international events.

Majority of the adult skaters are members of the Canterbury Masters Figure Skating Club and participate regularly in the weekly Coffee Club Sessions on Thursdays 9.30 - 10.30am during the school terms. New members are always made welcome.
