This time around we have the pleasure of having Miss Communication at the helm bringing you an eclectic collection of records. Miss Communication (NZ/UK) plays a variety of disco, funk and soul records, mainly with the uptempo hi NRG vibe. She started buying records and 12” singles authentically way back in 1980. In the UK she was part of the longstanding Chez Le Funk Collective (Cambridge, UK) She’s been djing both here in Ōtautahi and in the UK at pubs, clubs, festivals, and parties. We're absolutely stoked to have her at CDD and can't wait to hear her
Next we have Local legend Dj, Producer, Resident (CDD) & Avid Record collector Mat Hoods is back on the 1's n 2's playing us a well curated set. Mat Hoods has been mixing and producing since the mid 90’s, with tracks released on Filtered Deluxe, Plimsoll Records, Mabuk Recordings, Straight Up & Thats Not An Edit to name but a few…
We could talk about his influences or radio shows as Dig For Victory but to be honest you just need to hear the guy soon to comprehend the funk. Music from the soul to move your soul.

Luis has been playing in clubs in the UK since the start of last decade with his extensive collection of Disco, Boogie, Funk & Soul. Before immigrating to NZ he played around some of the UK's well thought after venues now he's in NZ sharing his Rare & obscure collection for all your listening pleasure
kicking things off Pinacolada Soundsystem have joined us to play an eclectic array of disco, afrobeat and funk re-edits. As well as being a vinyl aficionado, Tim from the Pinacolada Soundystem runs his own label Pinacolada Records and also is the host of the 'Bonus Beats' online radio show on www.8k.nz
