Community Clean Up - Wilton Park Slip at Ōtari-Wilton’s Bush

Back on after last year's cancellation!

Along with Ōtari-Wilton's Bush Trust and Zealandia Te Māra a Tāne, we would love your help cleaning up the rubbish at the big slip from Wilton Park in Ōtari-Wilton’s Bush. Many hands make light work and together we can clean up te taiao and restore this popular area.

To say thank you we’ll shout a BBQ lunch, kindly provided by Cameron Harrison Butchery, at Troup Lawn at 12pm. It’ll be a rewarding day filled with good yarns, a satisfying workout, shared kai, and that fuzzy feeling you get for helping out.

The clean-up starts from 10am and the site is 300m upstream from Troup Picnic Area (there will be signage).

Along with other rubbish, the area contains lots of broken glass so please wear sturdy footwear. There will be some gloves available on the day but if you can, please bring your own (leather gloves advised). Due to the glass, this event is most suitable for adults and older children.
