Daniel and Ashley, a married couple based in Aotearoa, New Zealand, embarked on a unique journey when Ashley moved to New Zealand. Daniel's wanted to introduce her New Zealand's rich culture. As musicians, they naturally chose to connect by singing waiata together. Little did they anticipate their videos going viral, receiving an outpouring of positive and encouraging comments from thousands on social media. Since then, their musical journey has centered on reinterpreting Waiata Māori in their distinctive style. Balancing the demands of their growing three-year-old daughter, they have aspirations to release their original songs in the near future.

Chillibeans
Chillibeans is a cool new project that features two leading musicians who were originally from India – Ben Fernandez and Warren Mendonsa with two of Auckland’s finest musicians Nick Taylor and Ron Samsom. They started the band in 2021 and were all set to launch. However, Covid and other issues intervened and it had to be postponed. The band is now finally all ready and set to launch at Asian(sound)scapes X Ponsonby Social. The band has a unique sound that combines the musical experiences of Ben, Warren, Nick and Ron into one very global sound. Their music is a blend of Jazz funk, classic rock, and blues and is influenced by both Eastern and Western music. It is high energy and truly showcases the talents and skills of the individual players.
