Afterburner

Best of Fringe award winners afterburner (Dark Matter) is bringing their latest devised work – Dark Radio – to the NZ Fringe, showing 17-19th February 2023. This haunting, immersive installation will mystify you as you are thrust deep into the underbelly of the Cold War. Secrets and misinformation are everywhere, who knows who you can trust? Immerse yourself between the radio waves, where spies may help or hinder you in aiding the espionage efforts. With sound design by Stephen Stedman, and lighting design by Martyn Roberts, Dark Radio will have you questioning everything and everyone. Discover a strange world that exists between the radio dials and encounter a sonic and visual haze of information and field agents. Will you be turned? Will you know what to do when you have been compromised?

Pick your side and join the mystery in an exciting season, with only a limited number of audience allowed each showing.
