Disco Inferno: The Musical - Auditions

Disco Inferno: The Musical is Tauranga Musical Theatre's end of year show. This musical is a 'jukebox musical', telling the story of wannabe disco star Jack and his friends, set to the hit tunes of the 1970s.

We will be holding auditions on September 2, 2023 and anyone is welcome to come and give it a go. The audition process involves a group dance session, where you'll learn some new moves that will feature in the show. Even if you don't consider yourself a dancer, don't be intimidated - we want to see you having fun!

Then, you'll book in for a solo singing audition in front of the director, musical director, choreographer and production manager. This is a chance to sing a song from the show and for us to get an understanding of your range, style and skill. You don't need to be a professional to audition - you just need to have passion for performing! This is a great way to meet people, have fun, perform on stage and celebrate the great disco era.
