EarthFest – A Festival of Earth Science, will be a chance for members of the public to get up close and personal with the earth sciences and meet people working in its many different fields. The aim of EarthFest is to be an unprecedented public showcase of the science and technology used to study our dynamic planet.
Exhibits and demonstrations include Toothpaste Volcano, Experience Antarctica, Radiocarbon Lab, Girls on Ice, Find A Fossil, Make a Quake, House of Science, GIS and plenty more.

From rocks, minerals and fossils through to natural hazards and emergency management, EarthFest 2023 will showcase the Earth as we know it through interactive displays, virtual and augmented reality experiences, games, tabletop experiments, and more!
With a particular focus on activities for tamariki (children), rangatahi (young people), and their whānau (families), our goal is to help people engage with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) and build connections between Earth science and their everyday lives, to ignite interest and (hopefully) inspire future careers!

In association with the Geoscience Conference 2023
