Emergency Services Expo 2023

After a two-year break, the Emergency Services Expo comes back to Te Papa, bigger than ever!

A high-action, interactive, fun-packed festival, showcasing the capabilities of our national first emergency responders.

Bring your whānau along to assist with a demonstration of the aerial rescue unit or a car extrication. Among the many organizations taking part in the show, you will have the opportunity to interact with Police, Fire and Emergency, Land Search and Rescue, Wellington Free Ambulance, NZDF and more.

Lots of activities for all ages – indoor and outdoor, including virtual reality and a show by Deano Yippadee, the author of the kids' book series "Nee-naw the Fire Engine".

Please note: if it is too windy, the show will be cancelled outside, but the planned indoor activities will go still ahead.
