Show Me Shorts and Film Otago Southland are hosting a free networking event at Yours this Sunday October 29 for those interested in making or watching films, whether filmmakers, students, teachers, society members, or anyone and everyone in between.

The event will be at Yours on Moray Place this Sunday from 5 to 7pm, so right before the screening of The Sampler two doors down at The Rialto at 7pm. If people want to check out the short films in the festival, they are more than welcome purchase a ticket to come along afterwards but tickets are not necessary for entry to the networking event.

Hopefully if we’ll get a couple interested parties along and there can be some good mixing and mingling. At the very least, there will be some nice bread and other nibbles courtesy of the mixer at Yours and Film Otago Southland. There’s a small stage providing an opportunity for people to speak on behalf of their organisations or societies. Email community@showmeshorts.co.nz to secure a spot on the stage.
