Floor Talk: Stella Brennan and Photographic Practice

Stella Brennan: Ancestor Technologies presents a range of existing works from the artist that shift across different modes of image making including her latest photographic installation Thread Between Darkness and Light. Join exhibition curator Dr Kirsty Baker for this lunchtime floor talk looking at ways Brennan engages with photographic practice in her work.

Presented to coincide with the Symposium: Photographic practice Keynote address and panel discussion and the Peter Turner Memorial Lecture.

Dr Kirsty Baker is an art historian, researcher and writer and is currently a member of City Gallery Wellington's curatorial team. She has written extensively on contemporary art and is currently working on a significant new book about women artists in Aotearoa to be published by Auckland University Press.
