Join us for the anticipated first private screening event of ‘Frisky’!
Frisky is about a reclusive farmer who forms a connection with Alex, a transgender city kid. They must band together and save Mick's best friend, Frisky the sheep, from a terrible storm. The film touches on themes of isolation, queer identity and rural mental health issues in Aotearoa.
Inspired by the unique intersection of small-town farming culture and a diverse queer identity. Our director Stevie, brings an authentic voice to the screen. As a transgender and non-binary individual who grew up in the Hawkes Bay of New Zealand, this project is a personal journey of self-expression and a sincere attempt to depict genuine queer experiences in Aotearoa.
We aim to share this remarkable short film with audiences far and wide by entering it into film festivals across Aotearoa and around the globe. Your support in attending this screening event will directly contribute to our festival entry funds!
