Beginners can try their hand at glasswork in this fun weekend workshop with visiting artist Lindsay Butler. Students will make their own fused glass plate, which can be used as a cheese tray, wall hanging, or sun catcher.
Students will learn how to cut sheets of glass, choose their colours, and create a design for their dish. The sheets of glass will then be melted together into one piece in a kiln.
Course fee: $220 (locals who sign up receive a 15% discount)
Book your seat:
Book your seat in this workshop at https://amokuraglass.as.me/schedule.php?appointmentType=48979872
Please note:
• If the plate you design is primarily pink or purple, there will be an additional fee.
• There will be an additional fee if you would like to melt your plate into a channel dish, something that's more like a sushi plate or cracker tray.
• The melting process takes 14 hours, so you will need to pick up your plate the week after the workshop, or have your plate shipped to your address.
