The Gallipoli: The Scale of Our War exhibition is one of Te Papa’s most viewed visitor experiences. As well as providing a compelling context around the Gallipoli campaign, it brings the story alive through the lives of six ordinary New Zealanders who took part in it. Three contributors to the companion book accompanying the exhibition – Chris Pugsley (the exhibition’s historical director), Puawai Cairns (exhibition curator and Te Papa’s Director: Audience and Insights) and Sir Richard Taylor (the creative force behind the exhibition) join Featherston Booktown Chair Peter Biggs to revisit the Gallipoli campaign and tell the story of how the campaign was brought to life through a ground-breaking and compelling exhibition.
