Handing the Shame Back is launching its first-ever Global Awareness Day. Wherever you are in the world, we are asking people to join us in a 30 minute walk. For those in Auckland, we invite you to to join us at Cornwall Park outside the cafe by the roundabout. For those across the world, we ask you to create your own walk wearing red, white or black (or a combination of those colours) to raise awareness of the up to 1in3 adult survivors impacted globally. We encourage you to take pictures and send them to us, we would love to see them.
This event allows survivors and supporters to fellowship together whilst uniting to create more awareness around child sexual abuse throughout the world.
