Mokotron is a Tāmaki-based Māori producer from Ngāti Hine, who spreads seismic waves of low frequency Indigenous electronic music. Breakbeats, deep bass, puoro, karakia and mōteatea are utilised to create their dark, trauma driven tracks. 2022 was a breakout year for Mokotron with 2 EPs released on Spain's Electro Records, multiple compilation appearances, and their self-released Tawhito Ep taking home best EP at the SRN awards.
Now finally gracing the stage for the first time, Mokotron’s live set will include puoro performances, robotic vocoder vocals, and live dub mixing throughout his signature Māori break-beat and dark electro tracks.
For this special occasion Haven returns to our current home-base and proven-pumping-sweat-box Arcadia...
