Hayden Chisholm's Unwind: The Daylight Tour

Unwind is saxophonist Hayden Chisholm's New Zealand project. Also in the group are Paul Dyne (bass) and Norman Meehan (piano). Together, they play original music that knows about jazz, but which dips its toes into the worlds of folk music, Indian raga and contemporary chamber music. The trio emphasises melodies played with a respect for space, and possess a group sound burnished with beauty.

Their albums 'Unwind' and 'Saffron' were finalists for Tui Jazz Artist of the Year (in 2018, and 2020), and you can hear those recordings on rattle.co.nz (along with lots of other wonderful New Zealand music).
