The 120th Helensville A&P Show is just the best family fun day. Bring all the generations and enjoy a day in the country.

Ride the tractor from the free carpark into the Show, where you will be dropped at the main pavilion.
Pick up the Where's Woolly competition form at the gate and find the ten Woolly's around the grounds to win a prize.
Grab a coffee and some candy floss (or an ice cream or slushie!) and wander around to see the Livestock area, with the cattle, sheep, goats, pigs as well as children showing their pet lambs, calves and goats.
Spend some time watching current NZ and World champion blade shearer Allan Oldfield shearing a sheep and learn about the story of Sheep to Sweater. This follows the wool from the sheep, to the wool handler, to the spinners, weavers and knitters, to a finished product. Make sure to feel the fleece straight off the sheep, when Allan has finished shearing.
See lots of different woollen products in our AMAZING WOOL tents and step into our old woolshed for the sounds and smells of a farmer's day.
Our Helensville Dog Trial Club will wow you with demonstrations from their canny sheep dogs - a must do is to catch the bark-up from the Huntaways (it'll be noisy!).
See lots of action on our Auckland Cranes Community Stage, everything from dance displays, taekwondo, dancing dogs, Junior Farmer competition, singing, and musical performances.
Bring your family pooch along and enter the Pet Dog competition (register by 9.30am).
Ride the side shows, have a go at giant puzzles and do some shopping in the trade area.
Then make sure to visit the indoor pavilion and see all the clever entries in the baking, floral art, garden veges, crafts, kids crafts, photography and painting. Don't miss the giant pumpkins!
The Highland Dancers and bagpipes will stir your blood and have you dancing a jig. Or clamber onto one of the diggers or giant cranes.
Then maybe grab a bite from the food trucks and a cold beverage from our local award-winning Liberty Brewery or The Hunting Lodge wines and chill out listening to the band on the main stage and watch our Woolly fashion parade.
Catch the Strongman competition beside the food court and see who you think is the strongest.
The equestrian rings are just beside the racetrack and you'll be mesmerised by the beautiful horses and their riders - can you pick the winners?!
3pm is Tug of War time - you can either join a team on the day, or cheer on the those having a go. Or if that's not your thing, visit the Helensville Library site where they'll be reading stories for children.

There are activities galore, food for all diets, lots to look at and take part in and something to suit every age. We know you will love it, so come along and meet your country cousins and be part of our 120th Helensville Show. We look forward to seeing you.
