For author Zana Bell, research is by far the most engaging aspect of writing. The quest for historical veracity has taken her to many fascinating locations and led to extraordinary experiences such as walking beneath a lioness and going down a gold mine. She has also encountered diverse people from French counts to Zimbabwean gardeners.
This talk will cover some of her research adventures in New Zealand, Australia, the UK, France and Africa as well as discuss the strange alchemy between research and the creative process.
