The Māori Cultural Heritage Programme is a partnership with Mana Whenua of Tāmaki Makaurau working to improve the identification, mapping, and protection of Māori cultural heritage in Auckland/Tāmaki Makaurau.
This conversation will be shared from the viewpoint of Sheri-Ann Atuahiva as a woman who lived on the whanau whenua and who now works in the Māori Cultural Heritage Programme and Dr Alex Jorgensen, a pākeha archaeologist who also works in the Māori Cultural Heritage Programme.
