This great 4-week Sunday morning block of classes starts on the 19th November and runs to the 10th of December. A great class to get something special made for a Christmas gift - or just to get into the swing of silver smithing.

Our popular classes are the best way for beginners to get into jewellery making or for advanced students to improve their skills! These are a lively, warm and friendly way to learn to create beautiful jewellery for yourself or for others.

Beginners start with basic ring making in copper or brass, students will learn measuring, texturing, shaping, cutting and soldering.

Once your first rings are completed you can move to working in silver and produce another ring with more interesting design elements, or earrings or pendants if you prefer.

Level 2 students can begin to learn stone setting using a simple bezel, to add to a plain ring band or to create a pendant. Alternatively they start to look at chain making - the very best way to advance your soldering skills. They can create a pendant on a handmade chain, or follow their design dreams!

More advanced students are able to work on projects suited to their interests and skills. Our tutors will encourage advanced students to try new and challenging skills, and work on their design process.
Kids 12 and over are welcome to join this class but children under 16 must be accompanied by an enrolled adult.

Included in the class fee are copper and brass for practising on, up to 6 grams of sterling silver and all consumables such as sandpaper, solder and chemicals.

Extra metals, materials and chains and earring findings are available for purchase in the studio.
