How to navigate the lifestyle you have without breaking the KAFA around the waist given to us by our ancestors. Being conscious of the surroundings around us, as well as inside us. Touching base on deep rooted scars we have not yet healed. Remembering to be rooted within ourselves, our culture and who we are as pacific island people in this day and age.
“KAFA” is the development of Mosiana Webster’s work “VAST” originally created for The Nest: Street Styles Solo Dance Festival, as a realisation of Webster’s dream to combine Krump with traditional Tongan movement.
