The Kāpiti Concert Orchestra presents its final concert for the year on November 11th at 2.30pm in the Ōtaki Memorial Hall.

KCO SALUTES THE 40'S is a blend of music from New Zealand composers and the light-hearted swing band American style of Cole Porter, Hoagy Carmichael, Artie Shaw and Richard Rogers - to name a few.

In the 1940's Paekakariki was a temporary home to the American Marines. Their influence in the Wellington Region was not only in safe guarding New Zealand waters but the renowned social scene that was a highlight for many locals.

Michael Vinten who is no stranger to Ōtaki audiences will conduct the KCO with soloists Barbara Graham, Soprano and Debbie Rawson, Clarinet.

Feel free to wear 40's finery!!
