Kinross Harvest Celebration

Each year we showcase a range of events which celebrate the conclusion of harvest – the most important year for winegrowers and viticulturists.
Whilst paying homage to our region’s world-class wine industry, the three weeks of events also provides locals and visitors a chance to take part in some fun and informative tastings and wine-related activities.

Join us for a Gourmet dinner to kick off our series of Harvest Celebration Events!

Start Time: 6:00pm doors open, 6:30pm start

Duration: Allow 3 hours

About:
At the centre of Gibbston lies a warm north-facing swathe of land above the Kawarau River, rich with mineral laden soils that deliver incredible produce and wine.
Join us as we take a gourmet journey through this land in true kiwi style – utilising the best resources we can hunt, gather...and of course ferment… from this ruggedly beautiful part of the world. There won’t be a closer farm to plate experience than this! You'll enjoy exceptional wine and food from one of Central Otago's most iconic sub regions, paired with entertaining discussions from local legends.

An overview of the evening's menu:

The menu has been designed to create a culinary journey through the Gibbston valley region where each dish is thoughtfully paired with up to seven remarkable wines over three courses.

1. Start the evening with a drink on arrival as we welcome you to our slice of paradise.

2. As you sit down for dinner the first course includes a trio selection including crispy wild pork belly, port glazed fig tartlet and rabbit rillet, each expertly matched with its own wine pairing.

3. Experience a main course featuring a duo of Tahr which is a delicacy renowned for its tender and succulent meat, elevated with local ingredients and paired with two unique Pinot Noirs.

4. Conclude the evening with a delightful quince tart topped with caramelised white chocolate, accompanied by two wines.

Indulge in an unforgettable food and wine experience that showcases the best of the region as you join us in our stunning new cellar door for a celebration of Gibbston like no other.
