Lampwork Glass Jewellery Workshop

Join us for this fabulous day workshop working with colourful molten glass to create beautiful bright glass and silver jewellery!

This class is a great way for absolute beginners to get a taste of working with glass to produce beautiful beads that can be used in a myriad of ways, including making a unique gift for your loved one - or yourself!
As one of the earliest forms of human adornment, beads have long functioned as a way to express individuality, and what better way to do that than to learn to make your own unique beads?

Students are shown correct lampworking techniques to produce decorative glass beads, which can then be combined with simple silver work to become wearable, lasting jewellery.
Beginners to this technique can use pre-made quality fittings to produce simple and very effective pieces. If you already have some jewellery making experience, or have taken one of our Bead-making classes previously, you might want to create something a little more advanced. Our friendly and knowlegable tutors have a range of projects and materials available to suit a variety of experience levels.

Basic materials (enough glass and a small silver allowance) is provided, with extra materials and findings available to purchase in class.

Kids over 12 (or so) are welcome to take the class but anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an enrolled parent or caregiver.
