In 1982 Laurence Aberhart received a QEII Arts Council grant that afforded the opportunity to travel the Northland region photographing churches and marae.

Messages from Woodland represents a small selection of images made in that year.

This exhibition is Aberhart's sixteenth at Brett McDowell Gallery.
