Leys Orchestra Family Concert

Leys Orchestra is looking forward to bringing an exciting and varied programme to Ōrewa featuring talented young soloist Emily Rendall in the warm and gentle 'Ballade for Flute and Orchestra' by Carl Reinecke. She will also play three dances from Bach’s Suite No. 2, and Piazzolla's 'Tango Etude' for solo flute.

Lysenko's stirring 'Prayer for Ukraine' contrasts with bright dances by Beethoven and the balletic humour of 'Clog Dance' by John Lanchbery.

Nostalgic childhood piano music and Marsden's enigmatic 'Funeral March of a Bumblebee' round out the programme.
