Methven & Foothills Walking Festival 8 - 16 April 2023

There is something for everyone at the 2023 Methven & Foothills Walking Festival. Bring the family for a few days to experience the famous Methven Scarecrow Trail and join in our Easter Egg Hunt at Awa Awa Rata and the Family Fun Day at the Enchanted Forest. Challenge yourself on the walks to Woolshed Creek or Scott's Saddle or discover the newly formed track to Sharplin Falls. For the history buffs you can join in on the History of Houses tour or learn more about our Railway history. In addition, there are two well-being walks, a walk around the golf course and a walk for those with pooches. And if you love good food and wine – please join us for a walk around some of Methven’s well-known restaurants.

Please note that if you prefer to just explore at your own pace; the Methven Walkway, Piwakawaka Walk and the Enchanted Forest are free and open every day for all to enjoy.
The Scarecrow Trail runs every day of the April school holidays and all other event dates and times are listed on the calendar with more information available by clicking on each event listing or link.
