Motat Live Day: Travel By Tram

Our Tram Live Day is one of our most popular, with all things tram ready to roll!

MOTAT has an impressive collection of operational trams meticulously restored and maintained at MOTAT in our Tram Workshop. The fleet includes the stunning Tram 47, a double decker affectionately known as 'Big Ben', a rare steam powered Tram 100, and a number of Australian and New Zealand heritage electric trams.

Come and see these amazing machines, do a make-and-take of Tram 47 & Tram 100 or take a break from trams and catch a ride on our steam train! There will be loads more going on around the museum including the Live Day classics like the Lollyman, Blacksmith, Print Shop, Little Flick, live music and heaps more!

We recommend starting your journey at the Aviation Hall and enjoy the free heritage tram ride between both locations.
