“Musicking Together” is a free community music circle run by Sophie Sabri (NZRMTh) in collaboration with different local musicians each month. For the next three session the group will be run by Megan Glass (NZRMth).
The event takes place monthly at Evaro. It is open to anyone who has a love for music and no musical experience is required.
The venue is wheelchair accessible.
On Monday 25 September, Megan will collaborate with local music therapist Anna Sedcole for a fun night of singing and movements.
On Monday 30 October, we will host music therapist Liz Langham for a night of musical improvisations on the theme of water and to the sounds of flutes.
On Monday 27 November, local musician Darryn Sigley will join us to share about Brazilian Samba music and rhythms.
Musical instruments are provided. Come along to meet new people and play music without pressure.
"Musicking Together" is a safe space to create music together, to dance, to sing or simply listen to others. As long as we are in space, we are musicking.
